Easter Gardens 07.03.16

7th March 2016

Dear parents/carers,

Easter Gardens

As part of our Easter celebrations this year, we are asking children to make an Easter Garden at home to bring into school. The gardens will be displayed in the church during our Easter Service on Tuesday 22nd March and will be there over the Easter period for members of the community to see.

There are lots of ideas for Easter Gardens online which might give you some inspiration. For example:

Here are some tips:

Easter Garden Top Tips:-

  1. Find a suitable container, shallow tray, bowl or take away tub.
  2. Fill your container with soil from the garden or compost.
  3. Plant a flowering spring bulb like a daffodil, primrose, pansy or small alpine plants into the soil making sure you cover the roots.
  4. Push thin rocks into the soil to make a structure or cave. Rest another piece of rock on the top to make a roof or be creative and make any sort of roof you like.
  5. Add small stones, gravel or sand to create features and paths.
  6. Decorate with Easter chicks, angels, a cross or mini chocolate eggs.

Please bring the finished Easter Gardens in between Monday 14th March and Monday 21st March.

We look forward to seeing all the finished products!

Yours sincerely,

Vicky Doherty
