Summer Term 2014 - Newsletter 4

4th July 2014

Dear Parents/Carers,

School Reports

Your child will be bringing home their end of year report today. Please make sure you return the acknowledgement slip. Comments are always very welcome. There is a ‘come and see’ parents evening on Wednesday 9th July where you can come, with your child, to look at all the work they have done this year and chat informally to their teacher. If you would like to speak to the class teacher about anything in more detail, please make an appointment at the office.

Universal Infant Free School Meals

From September 2014, all children in Reception and years 1 & 2 will be able to receive a free school meal each day. Your child will be bringing home a letter soon explaining this in more detail.

Photography etc.

With Sports Night tonight and our performance coming up, can I remind parents that they are welcome to take photographs at events, but we ask you not to publish photos or videos of any children except your own on social media sites such as facebook, twitter or youtube.

Classes for Next Year

We are putting together the final arrangements for staffing next year and will inform parents about this early next week.

Authorisation for Collection

Please make sure you return the form stating who is authorised to collect your child. This is an important measure to ensure the safety of all children. It is disappointing that so few have been returned.

Uniform

It is important that we maintain high standards of school uniform so children can feel proud of their smart appearance and so it is fair and the same for all children. Please remember that jewellery should not be worn and earrings should be small studs only. From September, please make sure that socks and tights are plain grey, white or black only.

Dinner Money etc

This needs to be in a sealed named envelope. Loose money makes Mrs Abbott’s life very difficult!

Parent Governor

Sarah Maundrell has become our new parent governor.

Headteacher
