Swimming Letter 2014

5th September, 2014

Dear Parents,

We will be starting school swimming lessons for children in Year 3 through to Year 6 on Thursdays this year, starting on 11th September and finishing on 11th December. We will be swimming at Stowmarket Leisure Centre from 10.00 to 10.30 p.m.

Children will require a swimming costume/trunks, a hat (both boys and girls), and a towel in a bag. If a hat is not provided, the swimming pool will not allow pupils to swim. Those children who have asthma must bring their inhaler onto the poolside for each session or they will be unable to swim. If goggles are required by your child, please write a letter requesting permission, addressed to Mrs. Kim Lynch, as otherwise your child will be unable to wear them due to the health and safety policy set out by Suffolk County Council. Their policy also states that no earrings are to be worn whilst swimming. Therefore, could those children with pierced ears need to make sure they are not wearing earrings at all on Thursdays.

Please fill in the attached sheet and return to school by Tuesday 9th September.  If the form is not returned  your child will be unable to go swimming.

Yours sincerely,

Mrs. J. Taplin

P.E. Co-ordinator
