Wonders of Wetheringsett - April 2014

It’s been another very busy half term with all sorts of activities going on in school from trips to India, a Maths Day and a visit from our MP and a Wellie Walk  to mention just a few.

It was lovely to see so many parents join us at this morning’s assembly to celebrate Mrs Miller’s career and wish her well on her retirement. The school will not be the same without her, but we look forward to working with Mrs Fenning and Mrs Taplin and recruiting a new permanent teacher from September

A very happy Easter and we look forward to welcoming children back to school on Wednesday 23rd April.

Grace Darling

Year 2 learnt about the life of Grace Darling in history. Grace was born in 1819 to a lighthouse keeper and became famous for rescuing nine shipwrecked passengers with her father when she was only nineteen. The children did some drama to explore the feelings of those involved.

A Trip To India

Sycamore Tree Class have been doing  a cross-curricular topic about India and were excited to ‘visit’ the country for the day. This involved making passports, travelling to the airport, a long flight (with in-flight entertainment and meal) and activities once they arrived.
