School Meals

  • School meals are provided by NORSE and are cooked on the premises. Parents help their children select their menu choice from a list sent home before the beginning of each week. As well as a main choice and vegetarian alternative, school packed lunched and jacket potatoes are offered ever day. Children who do not have school lunches may bring a packed lunch from home.
  • From September 2014, all children in Reception, year 1 and 2 are able to have a free school meal each day.
  • Other children are able to get free school meals if parents receive any of the following benefits:
    • Income Support
    • Income based Job Seeker’s Allowance
    • Income related Employment and Support Allowance
    • Guarantee element of State Pension Credit
    • Child Tax Credit, as long as you do not get a Working Tax Credit  and have an annual income (as assessed by HM Revenues & Customs) that does not exceed £16,190
    • If they are supported under Part VI of the Immigration and Asylum Act 1999
    • Working Tax Credit during the four-week period immediately after  employment finishes or after you start to work less hours per week.
