Special Educational Needs & Disability

All children are different and many children will struggle with their learning at some point and may need a little extra help. This is usually something that can be addressed through high quality personalised learning in the classroom and does not necessarily mean they have special educational needs.

If you are concerned about your child's progress, then it is best to have a chat with the class teacher about your concerns.

If we feel that your child may have special needs and will require longer term additional support, we will discuss this with you and involve you and your child in how we go about doing this.

Special Educational Needs Information Report
From September 2014, the governing bodies of maintained schools (like Wetheringsett) must publish information on their websites about their SEN policy and provision. This has to be updated annually and has to address 14 different statutory points. The school's Information Report can be seen below.

More information can also be found in our SEN Policy here.
