Ofsted Report March 2017

The school was judged to 'require improvement' in it's most recent Ofsted inspection published in March 2017. Although is was disappointing that the inspector did not judge the school to be ‘good’ overall, this was not a surprise and matched the school's own self-evaluation judgements at the time. The Inspector recognised this honest self-evaluation as a strength of the school and praised the quality of the plans that we had already in place. Some recent end of key stage outcomes had not been as good as we hoped and, combined with recent staffing difficulties which had impact on some aspects of teaching and on leadership capacity, the inspector reached the judgement, which we agreed with, that the school overall ‘requires improvement’.

The inspector also identified particular strengths which largely coincide with the conclusions of the school's recent SIAMs Inspection.
