We have a simple inexpensive uniform and expect all children to wear it. School is a working environment and it is important that children are dressed in an appropriate and practical way. When children wear a uniform it helps to foster a sense of pride in belonging to their school.
The school colours are burgundy, white and grey. In the winter children wear plain grey trousers or shorts, pinafores or skirts, white polo shirts, shirts or blouses, and burgundy school sweatshirts or cardigans. Plain trousers that are not leggings should be worn. In the summer, blue gingham dresses or grey shorts may be worn. Socks or tights should be plain black, white or grey. PE kit should consist of burgundy t-shirt, black shorts, trainers and plimsolls in a bag. Jogging bottoms or tracksuits should be provided for outdoor PE in colder weather.
Hairstyles should be sensible without too much gel or ‘tramlines’ and not coloured. Long hair should be tied back off the face.
Uniform is supplied by School Trends and can be ordered online at www.schooltrends.co.uk . We ask parents to purchase sweatshirts/ cardigans with the school logo on from School Trends but other uniform can be bought elsewhere, providing it is the correct colour.
All clothing must be named, preferably with sewn labels. Shoes should be black and sensible (without heels) and we ask that trainers are NOT worn for school. We also ask that boots are not worn as these can be cumbersome for children when they sit on the floor.
